Mandatory Vaccinations

The health of every dog in our care is our highest priority. All dogs staying at Appletree Boarding Kennels must be fully vaccinated before boarding.

A CURRENT VACCINATION CERTIFICATE MUST BE PROVIDED SHOWING YOUR DOG'S VACCINATIONS ARE VALID.

Distemper

Essential protection against a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease affecting the respiratory and nervous systems.

Canine Hepatitis

Protects against Adenovirus Type 1, which causes acute liver infection and can be life-threatening for unvaccinated dogs.

Parvovirus

Extremely contagious viral illness. Current vaccination is mandatory for all guests to prevent severe gastrointestinal distress.

Parainfluenza

A key component of the C5 vaccine that protects against respiratory infections in social boarding environments.

Bordetella

Commonly known as Canine Cough. Must be administered at least 14 days prior to arrival for full efficacy.

Upload Certificate Early

If we do not already have your dog's vaccination record on file, please email a copy to info@appletreeboarding.com.au before arrival or bring your certificate with you at check-in.

Puppy Requirements

Puppies are welcome once they have completed their full vaccination course, with their final vaccination administered at least two weeks prior to arrival.

Health Recommendation

For your dog's health and comfort, we also recommend they are up to date with flea, tick and worming treatments before boarding.

Medication Management

We understand that some dogs require ongoing medication, and our experienced team is happy to assist.

Tablets & Drops

Routine oral medications and topical treatments administered daily by our trained staff.

Injections

Diabetic insulin or other subcutaneous injections managed professionally following your vet's schedule.

Original Packaging

All medications must be in original containers with veterinary labels showing dosage instructions.

Please supply all medications in their original packaging along with clear written instructions. Additional administration fees may apply depending on the medication and level of care required.

Veterinary Care Protocol

Should your dog require veterinary treatment during their stay, our team will always act in their best interests.If medical attention is required we will:

1. Immediate Assessment

Staff identifies symptoms and isolates the pet in a quiet observation area.

2. Veterinary Contact

We contact your nominated local vet or our 24/7 emergency partner immediately.

3. Owner Notification

We call you or your emergency contact to discuss the situation and next steps.

4. Safe Transport

Secure transport to the clinic in one of our climate-controlled vehicles.

5. Follow-up Care

Post-clinic recovery in a premium sanctuary suite with specialized monitoring.

Any veterinary consultation, treatment, medication or transport costs remain the responsibility of the pet owner.

Our caring team will always ensure your pet receives prompt professional attention whenever needed.

Premium Nutrition

Every boarding guest is fed premium-quality Royal Canin dog food. With an option of chicken mince, dog loaf or canned food. Or provide your own food – doesn’t need to be pre portioned.

Special Diets

If your pet has specific dietary needs, please bring their food pre-portioned in sealed containers labeled with their name.
